Colours – Persian Vocabulary Game

About the Colours game

The Colours game (بازی رنگ‌ها) teaches children aged 3 to 8 the names of colours in Persian Dari. Colour words are often among the first a child learns, and they are easy to practise every day, which makes this a good first game for younger children.

What your child learns: to recognise and say the common colour names, and to connect each word with the colour itself rather than with its English name.

Tip for parents: turn colours into a daily habit. At breakfast, ask what colour the cup is; on a walk, take turns spotting something سبز (green) or سرخ (red). Children remember words they use in a game with you far better than words they only see on screen.

Keep going: the Animals game and Vocab Monster build on these words with more everyday vocabulary.
